Thank you for your time and consideration in answering the questions of those in the congregation. it is true that the questions of one may often reflect the possible thoughts of many who have not asked. I was home with Cassie last week(she was sick) and believe that it is God’s timing that I am only now able to hear this sermon. The tension between the anti-kingdom and God’s kingdom is very prevalent in many current situations revolving around me right now. Some spoken openly, others kept low but glowing-hot. Though your sermon touched on many different points, I believe the Holy Spirit had a clear message directly for me and it is relieving to have my “vision” cleared-up again according to the realities of His Word and our struggle as believers. I am comforted, believing that the Holy Spirit is reassuring me in my obedience to Him, despite loud or deep opposition, from any number of sources. I know that the spiritual battle is the underlying force, and therefore try to keep that in the for-front of my mind when in the midst of interacting with the world. For any Christian(pastors included) it is helpful to remember that it is truly the Holy Spirit who speaks through us, and speaks to the hearts and minds of others. So, when you give a message, God is indeed speaking a number of messages to different recipients, in addition to your initial intended purpose and point of the sermon. Thank you for ministering in obedience to Christ. We will continue to keep your family in our prayers.
