What is baptism?
When you are baptized, you are lowered into the water and raised out of it — a solemn and beautiful picture of Christ crucified, buried, and risen, and of your own old self buried and a new life raised with Him. It does not save you; it declares what Jesus has already done in you. It is how you tell the world, out loud, whose you are.
